Christmas Greetings ,O.P. and All, from the Kansas Prairie! It looks like we may receive a soft, white blanket over the rolling Flint Hills. Our family will be together in Lawrence for Midnight Mass and Christmas day. Wishing everyone all the best in 2001!

Tis the day before Christmas and Pat is serving communion to area assisted living facilities. She leaves me early on Sunday morning. My contribution is to do the house work. Little price to pay for what she does. We are anxiousely awaiting the saints game and santa. We both want to send our love to each and every one of you and wish you all a very blessed Christmas.

Wishing "you all" a beautiful Christmas and a New Year filled with health and happiness. It's nice to read your messages and e-mailings, a break from all the season rush. Hope everyone will enjoy Christmas day and all travelers will have a safe trip. We'll be at home with family and relatives. The year 2000 saw us touring Italy, visiting the Vatican, seeing ruins of Pompeii, weekend in Paris visiting Hotel des Invalides to see Napoleon's tomb and ancestor Bertrand, marshal of St. Helene, entombed nearby, and tour of Normandy Beach. The panoramic view of Omaha Beach from a German bunker was awesome. And recently we saw Ivan Dragicevic, one of the visionaries from Medjugorje, at St. Edmond's. O.P. your website holiday decor & music are great, and will try to download Robert and Gayle's slideshow. And did you know that we have the same Sept. 29 birthday? Joyeux noel! 8-)

Merry Christmas to all. It has been a bad week. Monday I buried an old friend in Lafayette. He once told me that there were the doers and the dreamers and he was privileged to be paid to dream. A front came thru when we buried him, rain, cold and wind. By the time we left Lafayette the front had come through. We drove through the front, again, going back to Larose. When we arrived in Larose, the same front hit us for the thrid time while I was unloading the car. The rest of the week has been custody cases. Tomorrow morning I am going to pick up my daughter and her husband at the airport. We have not seen her for about 6 months. Lita has been cooking for three days. We will have the whole family her for Christmas, almost. My youngest is pushing tools offshore and will miss Christmas for the 4 year. We will have all of the grand children. Things are looking brighter. I hope that you all have the gift of family and loved ones in your Christmas.

I would also like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a great year in 2001. 2000 was a great year and, thanks to O.P., we were able to connect with some dear friends whom we hadn't heard from in 45 years. We have five children and seen grandchildren. All but one of them will be with us this Christmas. John does all of the cooking and I babysit a lot, but we love having them at home. I hope all of you are well and happy. Lots of love, Brenda

Merry Xmas to all of you! Hope you all have a very Merry Xmas this year. We are going to The Woodlands, Tex. to our oldest son's house, everyone will be there except for the ones from Tampa, (Pennye and her family). Gerald, your grandchildren are beautiful. We have eight too, only ours are a lot older, with the exception of the one year old. Ours range in age from 23 to 1 year. I will send some pictures if we can get everyone in one room at the same time when we go for xmas. This has been a great year, getting to see all of you again, and now communicating with everyone, thanks to O.P.!!!

The "Port Arthur" girls were friends of Daniel's first cousin Martha Nell, she is the second from the left. O.P. went out with Jeannie the first from the left and Daniel and I went out with the last one to the right, her name was Claudia. By the was that was Falstaff beer we are drinking.

Ok, check out the new Memory Lane photos sent in by Gerald. They are on the Cathedral Page. That photo of the "Port Arthur Girls" is real interesting. We were some "cool cats" back then. This photo is related to the one called "Mystery Girl" also. Gerald says the groupl picture was actually taken by the "Mystery Girl", that is why she is not in the new picture.

Your Christmas decorations to our web page is great. We are going to our oldest son Jerry's for Christmas. We are going to our second oldest Raymond's this Saturday for present opening. It is a wild event. Eight children ages six months to eleven. Eight adults trying to control the exicement. We are all worn to a frazzel when it is over. We still are very thankful for our blessings. Just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. O.P. I hope you continue to deliver as our webmaster and don't forget about your car keys (private joke).

In case I don't get back on the computer this week I want to wish all of you a ver Happy and Holy Christmas. Barbara and I will be on the road for Christmas. We will spend Christmas with her parents in Sulphur, La. and then the day after Christmas we will be on the road for Lexington, Ky. My oldest son lives there. We will return the day after New Year's day. We should see some snow. My son told me yesterday that he found out what cold was. He said the weather was 10 degrees and there was a very strong wind. He said even his bones froze. Guess us Cajuns will freeze also. He requested 15 lbs. of boudin and 15 lbs. of Andouie. He said he can't get it up there. In fact they never even heard of it. Well like I said have a safe and Happy Christmas day and remember me in your prayers. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Hi O.P., It was good hearing from you. Howard and I have talked about sending you pictures of our family, but as you know we have not do so yet. I will get to that after Christmas. We have a new grandson, William Jr., 3 months. Our other grandson is 6 years old. (guess he still believes in Santa Claus (?) ) All our children will be home for Christmas. Howard, Annette and Matthew (the 6 years old) live in The Woodlands, Texas. Bill, Yvette and William, Jr. live in Baton Rouge. Susan, our daughter, lives in Washington, D.C. ( She works at National Geographic.) We have really enjoyed all the comments and pictures on the Cathedral/Carmel web site. Isn't it wonderful that we have all these close connections after somany years. Avis was in town last week.........we had a coffee party at CC's Coffee Shop.......Mary Anthony, Betty, Carleen, Maugie, Cile, Minette,Avis and Patsy. We had a wonderful time talking about years past and many other topics. Howard and I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! Patsy
I am putting this email in the Guestbook for Patsy so everyone can see it. I hope she doesn't mind. When I sent out the email, I was hoping everyone would respond to the Guestbook. O.P.

Isn't this stupid? I think even a second grader can see that this latest decision by the FL Supreme Court will be over turned by the US Supreme Court. Maybe now we will have more sympathy for the political striff in other countries. We always make it sound so easy for other countries to get over their political disagreements. If I was Bush, I'd concede and run again in four years. Whoever gets in now will be the laughing stock.

You probably all heard that the Supreme Court dicided in favor of Bush. The irony of it is that they used President Clinton's definition of sex to come to their conclusion! "If there is no sex without penetration, there is no vote with only a dimple!" :)

Boy do I remember Lea Ray. She was a looker. I don't guess she was in our graduation class. I remember her as being a red head. What ever happened to her. Didn't Gerald date her? I know Harvey did. He dated all the girls. The picture wasn't very clear on my computer. It is blurred. I'll try to get it again. I remember what Lea Ray looked like. Didn't she live somewhere around the golf course? When I "graduated" to the Tandy portable (20 MB hard drive) No one could remember the CPM language to retrieve what I had on floppy's (5 1/2")Disks! God or we getting old or what?

I beg your pardon, the Judge is computer literate, here is what he just emailed me: Dear O.P.: At our age, 4 and 6 year olds are grand children. It is like you in a sentence, it is understood. Got thru law school running computer crews for accounting systems. It was easier that my hard labor job. First computer I was able to afford was a KayPro cpm system. I did not buy the 3 meg hard drive because I though that I would never be able to fill it up. The company that sold me the computer said that I was right, I would never need the space. Before the internet there were bulletin board. I once had an account with the Naval Ordinance Bulletin Board in D.C. I was one of the first judges to use computer on the bench. I could do data base case research from the bench and would be able to quote cases to the lawyers form the bench, and correct their quotes form the bench. Some had no idea what a computer was and thought that I was doing great things from memory. I did nothing to change their misconseption. Prom photos attached.

Yes, it was my little brother Stephen R. Moore, Jr., in the midst of that bevy of gals in St. Martinville State Park. He was here over the weekend and confirmed it—said that he had told someone just recently that he remembered going there with my class and in fact, said that it still looked like a good place to be! There must have been some serious arm twisting going on, though, to make me take 'ti frere along. Avis

I just had the best conversation with Halina Koziell. She's been here in Houston for 20+ years and I had occasion to see her many years ago when Paul was first diagnosed with brain cancer and she appeared like an "angel of mercy", which indeed she was—head nurse for the floor at the time I think—just after they had given me the news, She is retired from nursing. Has a part-time job three days a week and is enjoying the change of pace. Her mother died about three years ago at 93 and she had gone back to Lafayette to nurse her during her final illness. She mentioned something about church and I asked her which one and she said she had just switched to St. Cecilia—my church home for the last 31 years. I asked her what Mass she usually went to and she said "11:00"— and I said, "Well, Halina, you must have seen me; I was a lector at 11:00 last Sunday and the Sunday before!" Guess what? I was unrecognizable! She didn't have a clue it was me. That is sobering. Her brother is in Houston, too. Some of the guys might have known him. I think he was a little younger, though. We are making an after-Mass-lunch date in a couple of weeks. What fun! Avis

Hello to all the 55 graduates: My name is Renee Ory and I am the current Development Director for Cathedral-Carmel School. I thought the class would like to know that the school has a wonderful website. If any of you are interested in the current developments of the school, the address is www.catcarm.org. We have just started a new year at CCS and will be dedicating our new Kindergarten/1st Grade building on October 9th, 2000 after the school mass. If any of you are around the area, please drop by the campus for the dedication ceremony and a look around. The pictures on your site are great. What a wonderful idea for the class to keep in touch. If any of you would like pictures, information on the school, or any other information, please contact me and I will try to assist you. All the best, Renee Ory

I can only speak for Pat and I, but we are throughly enjoying our class web site. I just viewed the family pictures and will be sending mine soon. We need some kind of panoramic camera to get all sixteen of us properly focused. The brothers and sisters would be very proud. Does anyone remember the fifth of champagne that the owner of the Peacock would give to anyone having a birthday. Needless to say we aged faster than normal. Where are comments from the guy's, especially those old basketball players. O.P. has done a fantistic service for us, lets take advantage of it. God bless.

Hi gang. Visiting my step son and wife and kids in Denver. Glad to hear that Mary Anthony is her also. I'll call Robert and Gayle today and arrange a meet. You girls sure had a full high school life. I told Barbara that Avis was a writer and he proved me right. What a message. It made me wish I was a member of that class. Of course I would have felt out of place. Just a little bit. I did call Daniel and asked him to get on the web page but evidently it didn't take. I think he and Earline might be on vacation now. How about Mary Elizabeth Lemmon. You know she lived just down the street from me and maybe on my way home I might pass thru Midland. I heard she was somewhere there. I will look her up if I can get her address or phone number. Can anyone help me out? Boy I sure like this web page. Thank you girls for keeping me entertained wish more of the guys would be as active. Rickey

When I read Henrietta and Avis beating up on themselves in the previous letters, I am reminded that since I moved to Baton Rouge thirty years ago, I have been accused of having such a poor self-image. What happened to us that we should think that way? Was it some virus that we caught at Mt. Carmel? Anyway, isn't it nice that Avis has discovered the website, everyone? Also, I'd like to send greetings to Gayle and Mary Anthony who are visiting together in Colorado. I hope they are tuning in and enjoying all of these reminiscences.

Good to hear from Avis and what a great memory she has!I too was in that select algebra group, however it was easy to change "F" to an "A" on that final report card. The Reunion Committee searched all over the Internet looking for Pearl, to no avail. Also, don't think Halina responded -- so hope someone can provide this info. Brenda inquired about the location in the picture on the day we received our Senior ring -- wasn't it at some Diocesan office, following a scavenger hunt? I bet Avis knows this too. And our benefit style show, "Dreamer's Holiday." I do remember mom playing the piano for it. I being chubby, nearsighted and wouldn't wear eyeglasses, was chosen as the "dreamer" on stage. At the ending of the show, I was to arise from bed and remember getting up from under a blanket, stretching and rubbing my eyes to awaken, whereupon the heavy stage mascara (before waterproof days) just smeared across my eyes and hands. Avis, hope you get into your attic -- you must have a cache to contribute to the Carmel home page. Au revoir!

In answer to Betty about the motto: Could that have been that awful "Nothing succeeds like success" suggested by Sr. Wilfrid I think? Avis. Also, who else was with me when Sr. Juliana administered what I think was the 3rd try for the Algebra final in the library in our junior year? It was a very small SELECT group, so I don't expect most of you to remember it, particularly you left-brain types. I did make it through with a D+ average for the year and managed to finesse the rest of my education, including college, without taking a single math course. Never took typing or chemistry either. Seems like I vaguely remember Sister assigning Mary Anthony to tutor me. That would have been an act of mercy. My father said they weren't even ALLOWED to have slide rules when he was at the Citadel. That would have been considered cheating. He could do calculus in his head. You can imagine how proud my parents were! Well, they were relieved anyway.I had my old report cards in this scrapbook I'e been perusing and I swear someone has been tampering with them. I DID NOT get four D's in religion with a C- for the year when I was a senior...and a C+ in shorthand. I want a recount! That must have been the year Sister was all bent about my sending off for information from the Rosicrucians of California...to learn the "mysteries of life". Remember they used to advertise in back of all the magazines with the picture of the sphinx and the all-seeing eye? This is addictive. I'm quitting.

CORRECTION: The Old Fashioned Ice Cream Party was given by Henrietta, June, Barbara and Rosemary (not Rosella as I previously reported. This one cleverly worded: "Today Decides Tomorrow" —— This diploma is to certify that Avis Moore is SEEING DOUBLE....FEELING SINGLE!Sherry Party, (Drawings of sherry glasses) May 20....Del Rita, Lorraine and Rosella. Watermelon Party, May 15 given by Joan, Ena Claire and Minette (Minnie she was calling herself). Coffee Party, May 19, Mary Alice and Mary Elizabeth. Come-As-You-Are Breakfast, May 1 by Doris and Patsy. I know there were other party animals: Jackie, Virginia, Janet, Fern, Pearl, Loretta, Halina, Maugie, Jeanette, Cile—— you're unaccounted for on the party circuit! We DID do some partying that May...and some of these are bound to trigger some rip-roaring memories.Avis

O.P., it's certainly a good thing that we have one organized techie in our group! What a great service. If we had had this years ago we might have gotten 100% attendance at the reunion this year. Pics and accompanying comments make all the years fade away. Was I really in this class though? I have been unable to identify myself in any but the "senior ring" picture. And I know I was at Lake Arthur; I have the burn scars to prove it. Perhaps that person in the shades top left was moi? Help! Could someone please identify me? And, yes, it was a senior trip. First of all, Patsy was not that sultry as a junior and second, it was questionable as to whether I was going to be able to attend some big important senior function a few days later. I was toasted! Peeled about four times on my shoulders and the front of my thighs and stayed in the house wearing nothing but silk scarves and sleeping in a kneeling position by the side of my bed for several days! We would be a great control group to follow up on for skin cancer after that outing. However, as well as I remember, the St. Martinville sojourn was our real "senior trip". Who chaperoned us? Surely we had one or two. I remember us walking to town and finding excuses to go into the bank because it was the only place that was air conditioned. And for entertainment I remember a lot of impersonations of teachers and (will I never learn?) lots of catching rays with baby oil and iodine protection. Did all 32 go on that trip? I don't think so. All I remember about the crawfish boil was, yes, how I was sure I would lose a couple of fingers to frostbite in the Mequet's garage, but far more memorably...that somehow I was designated to serve the first customers—a man and his wife— a bowl of the delicious, steaming bisque and how the bowl just slipped from my hands at the crucial moment, scalding the man and I'm sure sending his suit to Golden Cleaners. He sputtered, I stuttered, and I let someone else do the honors the second time around. If that happened today, I would have gotten the class, the school and all of us and our parents sued out of existence. It was Sunday, March 27, 1955, 11-2 and 5:30-8 at the Mt. Carmel Cafeteria, Donation Adults $1.25, kids .65. Does that mean they got to take it as a tax deduction? Don't ask how; I just know these things. The Mexican Fiesta was our Junior-Senior Banquet; we the juniors. Goody Two-Shoes Brenda gave the Welcome; Corinne Gerami responded; Edna (Pudgie) Acord read the prophecy; Evonne Safford gave the will. Entertainment was provided by Merry Joy Gerami School of Dancing and our guests speakers were Fr. Christopher, Fr. DeBlanc AND Fr. Sigur! I was the After Dinner Speaker and I bet they were really heading for the doors by that time. You can e-mail me for the menu particulars. I tell you, these things are burned into my memory. Did you remember that Lorraine Duhon ran for Student Council with the slogan "Don't be a Do-Do, Vote for Lo-Lo"? Her platform included a Homecoming for the Basketball Team. Gloria Steinhem would be proud! Also full-length mirrors in the "big girls' bathroom" and gym dressing rooms, etc., etc. Hey, I'm getting into this trivia——just give me a forum. "A Dreamer's Holiday" was our junior style show. Jackie's Dancing school provided entertainment, the first number called "Slap Those Taps!" Henrietta's mom did the honors as accompanist. Fashions were from Abdalla's, Donlon's, Ladies' Shoppe, Saloom's, Rachelle's, Town & Country and Wormser's. Do some of those names trigger memories of lay-a-ways with baby-sitting money? They certainly do for me. Brenda sang "The Way You Look Tonight", accompanied by Mary Anthony. They were just every mother's dream, those two! Our Winter Wonderland Style Show was November 12, 1954 with apparel by Wormser's. This was our big final fund raiser for the curtain gift to the school. As well as I remember that freaking curtain was close to $1000 and that was no chump change in 54-55. We should have had our names emblazoned on it. Our spiffy Junior-Senior Banquet (us the seniors) was at Poor Boy's Riverside Inn, May 14, '55..."Reverie in the Mystic East". Fr. Carey, rest his soul, gave the opening prayer; Barbara Ory was the mistress of ceremonies, etc. When I went for the final fitting on the dress a neighbor was making for me, it was so low she had to add gold braid and I sat so straight all night I looked like I had a rod down my back. I went with Kenneth de La Loire DeBlanc. I do remember that much unassisted. I didn't remember, however, that The Silent Observer was a Junior phenomenon. I wrote my last one at the end of our junior year. I think Sr. Wilfrid started that just to hear all those incriminating tidbits. OK ... senior parties, here goes. Betty Jett's Champagne Party, May 18. Didn't we feel sophisticated? Suzanne, Carleen and Gayle's luncheon at the Town House May 26. "Miss Durand in a lavender cotton frock", "Miss Cates in a light blue figured cotton with shirred bodice", "Miss Robicheaux in a yellow linen princess style"...also present were Martha Tolley Davis, Margaret Riehl, Vaughan Burdin, Myrna Guidry and Carolyn Steinburg, New Iberia. What's happened to these gals .. anyone know? There was a Coffee Party given "in honor of" Patsy Sue May 17 by Mrs. A.B. Philliber. An Old Fashioned Ice Cream Party By June, Barbara, Henrietta and Rosella May 19; Mary's Bar-B-Que May 11; and a hayride by Brenda, Madeleine and yours truly on May 22. I know there were others but somehow they escaped the confines of my scrap book...oops, am I giving myself and my claims of a 100 gigabyte memory away? Hey, this has been fun. If there are disputed dates I might be able to settle the questions with my trusty diaries. I was a dedicated diary keeper for years. I have not ventured into the upper confines of my garage to dig through the box (which I'm sure by now is roach-infested) where these treasures have lain for close to 30 years...but if not now, when? We really need to try to track down Halina and Pearl. I called the number for Halina several times, but it rings once and then goes dead. Maybe if we highlight them separately in a MISSING IN ACTION column or something. Surely someone in Lafayette knows where Pearl is and I have a feeling Halina is still in Houston. Pearl and her husband, Glynn Arthur Hebert, MD, were supposed to settle down in Kaplan in about 1965 where he was going to practice medicine. Does anyone know what became of all the pictures that Mother Dolores took? Those would really be treasures. I remember she had files and files of them in her office. I know, I spent a lot of time in there in my statue-breaking years.

Hi! For those who've asked, Jackie Mequet Burley wrote, saying she would have loved to attend the Reunion, however it was just too soon after losing Merl. She's been busy -- had to have her scheduled dance revue two weeks after the funeral and recently went on a previously planned pilgramage to France with her daughters. She'd like for former classmates to visit her in Franklin. Jackie taught our daughter Karen dancing in the 1960's, when the oil industry located us in the Morgan City/Franklin area. We saw them often, as well as Barbara Duhon (Adams), Gary Adams and children. David & Connie Krauss Landgrave just moved on our street and Connie said Madeline is fine and living in Morgan City. Rosella Granados Rainbolt lives in Manhattan, Kansas, where Harry teaches at the University, and she was planning a family trip to Canada, and therefore unable to be at our reunion. But she said, come h--- or highwater, she'll be at the next one. So, that's the latest. Still enjoying all the memory photos and many thanks again, O.P. for all your work in this endeavor.

Hi Brenda The picture does not show my sleeve...it has a cross on it as a chaplain. When I retired from the Navy, the Bishop would not support me working in another Diocese except his! He was new, I don't really know him...our meeting lasted about 20 minutes! So I do not belong to the Diocese of Lafayette...his choice...there is more politics in the Church than in Washington. So I am not acively involved in any Diocese or parish. However that has turned out to be a blessing. I think I would be bored to death in a parish after the Military Chaplaincy. I am now free to work in my ministry with Alcoholics and those suffering from other addictions. My spiritual director seems to think that this is where God wants me right now. He said when the time is right, I'll know when to get involved again in a Diocesan ministry. So I facilitate the retreats here at the Diocesan retreat center for those with various addictions. I have my own little chapel in my home. Thanks for asking and thanks for the words of sympathy. My sister was 84 and suffering from an inoperable heart problem. So it was not a surprise.

Marshall, I might be the only one who doesn't know what you are doing now, but I'd be interested to know if you have retired from active ministry or if you are affiliated with the Lafayette Diocese or another. What are you doing? You sound so strong and healthy, I hope you are still providing a good ministry somewhere. We could use you in the Baton Rouge Diocese! Thanks for providing the pictures and details which we seem to have forgotten. I too join Doris in sending my condolences on the death of your sister. Take care.

Thanks Betty and Carleen. I remember the box of candy now that you brought it up. I am sure one of my sisters bought the candy for me! Thank God for sisters :). So who am I with in the Prom picture? You ever think of being a NUN Betty? You date a future priest for the senior prom and you marry a Sunday! (\o/) /_\

Hi, I'm Pennye Provost Garcia, Doris Landry Provost's daughter. She shared the reunion with me and now shared this site. It is so cool to read about my Mom through the eyes and memories of her friends in high school. I'm going to my 25th reunion this October. I'm going to suggest this to my fellow classmates. Hopefully we have someone who can do all you have done to keep communication open. This is great. It is so funny how you guys all have different stories about the same occasion. Pictures sure do help don't they. Well, just wanted to let you know I appreciate your efforts in keeping in touch with people who will always have a special place in each others heart. Doris to answer your question about the memory pictures of the guys, I think I finally figured it out! I was thinking of our "out of school" activities, and from what I remember I think we made SURE there was no evidence to convict! Ha! The only activity I could think of was our reunion at my house on Bayou Jack with the Cathedral Class. I saw Dan S., Mike M and Larry L. at my sister's wake, and they are going to see if they have any pictures of that event. Mike said he took the pictures. I know I had some but can't find them for the life of me. I still have boxes that I didn't unpack when I retired from the military...so they are probably in those boxes. As O.P., Harvey and Louis can tell you , packing and unpacking is the job of the military wife!!! Since I didn't have one, my stuff is still packed :)

Remember at times we were told we could not get in the Top Hat because they were going to have a "secret" raid that night? Ha! And the cement pipe over the spot light in the middle of the dance floor shinning up on the spinning ball on the ceiling? Real class!

I agree with Betty that the picture of her and me was from the 1955 Prom. When home last week, two of my sisters said together, that I had taken Carleen Cates to the prom...so that would be in 1954...but that isn't Carleen in the picture is it? Ruby does not ring a bell either Betty. Must be a senior moment :)

Henrietta, you are wrong about me doing decorations with an orental theme for our Sr. banquet. I ,along with Patsy, Suzanne and some others did the Mexican theme for the Jr. banquet. We made the decorations in my mother's garage. Had more fun decorating than the actual banquet. As far as for our Sr. banquet the Jr.'s would've been responsible for those decorations. I could call Rose Nell Guidry, she lives over here. She was a Jr. then. Mabe she remembers. I can't help out for the prom pictures. I didn't go to the prom when I was a Sr. I was engaged then. But I went with Harvey my Jr. year. Danced so much my feet got all swollen and I couldn't put my shoes back on and I was tripping over my long dress at the "Top Hat"! What were we doing at the "Top Hat" at that age????

Nice reading all the guestbook e-mails, a nice break for me at the office. Wasn't our Sr. Prom somewhere off Pinhook Road? I remember the Oriental theme and how nice it was - Doris was on the decorating committee. Also, wasn't the Lake Arthur day trip in our Sophomore year? I remember the bad sunburn that peeled and not wanting to see the guy I was dating at that time until it was gone. Gads, we can remember that long ago and forgot where we had lunch yesterday. Must be "Senior moments." Did you all know Sr. Ann Carmel's "Jesus Christ 2000 Supernova" painting is on exhibit at Ochsner's in Metro New Orleans through the month of July? She sent us an announcement last week. Au revoir.

The trip to Longfellow-Evangeline State Park was in May, l954 so that was NOT our senior trip. Patsy and I think it might have been a Jr. Catholic Daughter trip, but we aren't really sure. We need help on this too. Our senior trip was a day-trip to LAKE ARTHUR, LA. (Not Europe, Not Cancun Not Florida and not even the Mississippi Gulf Coast)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Patsy, Carleen and I discussed this last night.

Howard and Patsy and I have just been looking over the Cathedral Page Prom Photo and we think this is l954 NOT l955 because Marshall has a date with someone named Ruby and I had a date with him for the Sr Prom in l955 (the picture I sent to you). We have been on the phone laughing and trying to remember, but Patsy said its l954 cause Mrs. Franques chaperoned and she remembers the jacket Howard was wearing----so that settles that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O.P. Merci beaucoup! Will send photos once I dust off the old photo albums. Enjoyed viewing the photo pages. That Evangeline State Park photo was probably from our "Senior Trip." And our kids expect Cancun or Europe for theirs! Did you all know that Sister Ann Carmel is at the Mt. Carmel Motherhouse in New Orleans? She's a great artist and you should see her entry in the Jesus Christ 2000 art contest. Sister Hillary is there also and there are probably more retired teachers. They sure would enjoy hearing from us and knowing we appreciate them, despite 8th Grade Cobweb Corner, Fr. Carey and all our other antics.
